Standard Card Dimensions: 3 3/8" X 2 1/8" (3.375" X 2.125")
NOTE: For artwork designed to the edge of the card, please
design a 1/8 inch or .125 inch bleed past the outer edge of the
card.

We provide daily support for the following software programs.

- Quark Express 5.0
- Illustrator 10.2
- PhotoShop 7.0
We are a Mac based shop, but can handle your PC files created
in the applications listed above, provided that fonts are converted
to outlines, colors are correct and support images are sent to
us.
We may at times request additional files when file manipulation
is required.
File Preparation
Layout your artwork to actual size
- Use our PDF
TEMPLATE or to setup your artwork to these dimensions:
(2.125 x 3.375" + .125" bleed on all sides; corner radius is
.135").
Using Quark as your artwork assembly program
- Save your document as a .qxd file (PDF
TEMPLATE | EPS
TEMPLATE)
- Check all colors for proper spot or process
separation.
- Placed PhotoShop images should be .tif
files.
- Placed Illustrator/ Freehand images should
be .eps files.
- Collect for output. This will prepare
a folder with all used support files.
- Add fonts to Collected folder
- Compress this Collected folder using Stuff
It (MAC) or Zip It (PC).
- Email to MIKE@PLASTILAM.COM
- Or contact MIKE@PLASTILAM.COM
for ftp uploading.
Using Illustrator as your artwork assembly program
- Save your document as a .eps file (EPS
TEMPLATE)
- Check all colors for proper spot or process
separation.
- Convert fonts to outlines, unless you
are sending in all fonts (screen & printer).
- Avoid transparent colors; and drop shadows
within compound paths.
- We may need your actual image file of
any embedded images.
- If you are utilizing a mono, duo, tri,
or quad tone we will need the actual image file.
- Place all files and fonts into a single
folder and Compress this folder using Stuff It (MAC) or Zip
It (PC).

for ftp uploading.
Using PhotoShop as your artwork assembly program
Remember PhotoShop is
for projects to be printed process, duotone, and grayscale.
- Add .125" on all sides of your artwork
to allow for bleed.
- Save your file as .tif or .psd; save duotones
as .eps files.

- If possible send both flattened and layered
versions of your file.
- If you are sending a layered file only,
please send all fonts used.
- Resolution needs to be 300 pixels/inch
at actual size. (Min. 250 on some images)
- Artwork should be CYMK or Grayscale, instead
of RGB, Indexed, or Lab.
- Ensure your artwork is built to size or
proportional
- Place all files and fonts into a single
folder and
- Compress this folder using Stuff It (MAC)
or Zip It (PC).
- Email to MIKE@PLASTILAM.COM
- Or contact MIKE@PLASTILAM.COM
for ftp uploading.
We can accept .jpg and .pdf files. These
files may require additional production steps and may delay your
order and/or increase your cost. We will notify you in advance
of additional charges.
Printability Issues:
- Keep all text and important images .0625"
away from trim.
- Minimum point size for reversed out type
is 6 point.
- Ensure artwork has .125" bleed on each
side that prints to trim.
- Solid black areas on 4-color process jobs
should be rich black.
- (70 cyan, 30 magenta, 0 yellow, 100 black).
